My Approach to Coaching

The performing arts industry has the potential to be detrimental to one's confidence and self-worth, especially for young performers. That's why it is essential to develop good, healthy, habits in regards to self-love and confidence. As I coach performers in honing and developing their skills, I also make it a priority to:

  • build a growth mindset (it's okay to not know something; you will always be learning!)

  • focus on positivity and self-worth (make sure that you take time for yourself and develop healthy habits!)

  • increase confidence (never forget that you are unique and no one else is like you!)

In this industry, it is paramount to note that casting is a puzzle. Not booking a job doesn't mean that you have a bad puzzle piece, it just means that your puzzle piece is perfect for a different puzzle: you just have to find it!
